Do you have any old x-rays stored at home or work which you no longer need?
There is a solution at hand !
Drop them off at Local Member, Tony Piccolo’s Light Electorate Office in Gawler for the Red Cross.
Local Red Cross members Patricia Ahrens and Pat Suridge came up with the idea of finding a central location for x-rays to be dropped off in town and approached Mr Piccolo.
Mr Piccolo met with the hard-working committee recently and agreed to be a ‘drop off’ point for their fundraising activities.
Mr Piccolo said the local Red Cross group are not large in numbers but they are very active and passionate about the work they do to raise funds for the Group’s activities.
“It’s not a big effort to provide a drop off point for this type of collection,” Mr Piccolo said.
“We also collect used stamps for the committee, so feel free to pass them onto us.”
Mr Piccolo said he sees his office as an important ‘community place’ and he and his staff are happy to help local community groups and organisations in their fundraising efforts.
“At the moment we are also a drop off site for donations to Essentials for Women, where people can donate personal hygiene products for homeless women” said Mr Piccolo.
