TWELVE not-for-profit community or sporting organisations across the Gawler area have shared in a combined $23,500 in Malinauskas State Government grant funding.
Eight sporting clubs secured either $1,500 or $3,000 in Round 52 of the Active Club Program grants to further develop the programs and services they provide within the community,
A further four groups received $1000 each as part of the South Australian Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Grants Program Round 1 Grants – assisting clubs to meet their requirements to have an AED available in certain locations.
State Member for Light, Tony Piccolo MP, officially presented some of the recipients with their grants on Wednesday night at the Light Electorate Office
“These two grants are not only providing essential equipment and programs to keep our residents moving and thriving, but they’re also lifesaving, and protecting the heart of our community in every sense,” Mr Piccolo said.
